Shuai Wei is an associate professor at Xuzhou University of Technology, having received a BSc and PhD from Shandong University in 2015 and 2020, respectively. Wei joined Xuzhou University of Technology in 2020 and was selected for Jiangsu Province’s “Shuangchuang Doctor” programme in 2021.
Research interests
Wei’s research focuses on composite catalysts with controlled mesoscopic structures, combining catalyst design and synthesis with detailed structural analysis and in situ characterization to investigate structure–activity relationships at the atomic scale. This work includes carbon monoxide oxidation over supported gold catalysts and hydrogen production through formic acid dehydrogenation over palladium-based catalysts.

- Outstanding natural-science paper: the assessment-results notice published in 2024 for Xuzhou's 2022–2023 outstanding academic papers in the natural sciences lists a third prize for the study of CeO₂-regulated Co⁰–Coδ⁺ dual sites in syngas conversion to higher alcohols.
